Liquids in passengers' hand luggage

For departures within the European Union and other European countries (Switzerland, Iceland, Norway), the following regulations apply to the carriage of liquids in hand baggage:

• Liquids, gels and aerosols (such as cosmetics and toiletries, gels, pastes, creams, lotions, mixtures of liquid and solid substances, perfumes, pressurized containers, cans, water bottles, etc.) that are not medication or special food may only be transported in hand baggage in containers of up to 100 ml.
• These containers must be packed in a transparent, resealable bag with a capacity of up to 1 liter - fully sealable.
• You must purchase the bags with a capacity of up to 1 liter yourself before departure. They are available in many supermarkets, for example as freezer bags.
• The visible plastic bag must be presented separately from the rest of your hand baggage at the checkpoint.
• Medication and special foods such as baby food may still be carried in your hand baggage. You must prove that you need these medicines and special foods during the flight.
• You can carry liquids from duty-free purchases from any airport and aircraft in your hand baggage. The prerequisite is that the liquid is in an undamaged, sealed security bag.

Caution:

Products and bags that do not meet the requirements may not be transported in hand baggage.
