Victims' associations
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzThe aim of most victims' associations is to help people who have suffered a difficult fate as a result of political persecution, for example in the Second World War or during the Cold War, etc. At the same time, through historical reappraisal, they ensure that injustices that have occurred are not forgotten. They seek dialogue with political decision-makers to represent the interests of the victims.
As an umbrella organization of more than 30 victims' associations, the "UOKG – Union of Victims' Associations of Communist Tyranny e.V." is a central point of contact and source of information on the topic.
