Report a motor vehicle without an owner
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzMotor vehicles that are no longer registered and vehicles that are not roadworthy (car wrecks and car parts are included) may not be parked on public roads, paths and squares. If you see motor vehicles without license plates or with removed seals on public land, you can report this to the local regulatory authority. If, on the other hand, the vehicles are on private property, the owner of the property is responsible for the removal or disposal (private law). No message is required for this.
If possible, the following information about the vehicle should be provided:
- Vehicle
- Vehicle manufacturer
- Type, colour of the vehicle
- License plates, if still available
- (more precise) Location of the vehicle
- since when it was noticed that the vehicle was parked there
- Name, address, telephone number of the reporting person
- Findings about the responsible person, if this is known
