In principle, the city or municipal administration of the place that is to be the focus of the prostitute's activities is responsible. In individual cases, the district or another city or municipal administration may be responsible.

The administrations of the independent cities or districts in which the activity is to be carried out.

Continuation of the activity as a prostitute after the expiry of the validity of an existing registration certificate.

Proof of health consultation (maximum 3 months old)

The basis for charging fees to the authorities is the relevant Fees Ordinance. Additional costs may be incurred for language mediation if the consultation cannot be conducted in German.

The extension of an activity as a prostitute must take place before the validity of the existing registration certificate expires.

On request, a pseudonymized registration certificate (so-called alias name) can also be issued. The registration certificate (optionally the alias certificate) must be carried when working as a prostitute. Persons from countries outside the EU must also regularly submit proof of authorization to work as an employee or self-employed person ("work permit").

In many cases, the consultation can also be conducted in your native language. You can also bring a language mediator with you.
