Waste paper disposal
Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzThe disposal of waste, including waste paper from private households, is the responsibility of the public waste disposal authorities. These are the districts and independent cities.
Waste paper collections can also be carried out by commercial or non-profit providers (commercial or non-profit collection).
Regulations on the disposal of waste paper are laid down in the individual waste disposal statutes and fee statutes.
These include information on waste fees, waste calendars (collection intervals) and existing collection and delivery systems (blue garbage cans, paper containers, recycling centers).
Yellowbags are only collected where no yellow garbage cans have been introduced.
The recycling bags for glass (transparent bag) and for plastics, composites and metal (yellow bag/yellow garbage can) are collected directly from properties every 14 days by private companies on behalf of Duale Systeme Deutschland. If roads are not passable, citizens must bring the recyclable materials (transparent/yellow bags and yellow garbage cans) to the collection point themselves. EWL supports the dual systems with services such as information on correct sorting. Paper, cardboard and printed materials (blue bag / waste paper garbage can) are collected by a company on behalf of EWL. EWL accepts other recyclable materials such as old wood, metal or electronic scrap at the "Am Hölzel" recycling center.
Orders for waste paper garbage cans can be placed with the billing office on 06341 1386-30,-31,-32.
