Approval for 100km/h for motor vehicles with trailers (combinations)

The trailer must first be presented to an officially recognised expert or inspector or a test engineer from an officially recognised monitoring organisation. They will check whether your trailer meets the technical requirements for this speed. If this is the case, you will receive a confirmation from the licensing authority.

Before you go to the expert, please contact the manufacturer of your trailer; possibly a permit for a speed of 100 km/h is already available.

A personal interview is required. It can also be carried out by an authorised person.

District administrations and city administrations of the independent cities or, in some cases, of the large cities belonging to the district.

If you hire a third party, they will need a written power of attorney from you. In addition, he must present your identity document (in the original) to the registration authority. He must be able to identify himself with his valid identity card/passport.
