Energy supply grids Apply for approval to commence grid operation

This is the responsibility of the Energy Inspectorate at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture.
You have the
- efficiency in personnel, technical and economic terms and
- reliability,
to ensure the long-term operation of the grid in accordance with the provisions of the Energy Industry Act.
- Presentation of the company
- Proof of the legal form of the company (extract from the commercial register, articles of association)
- Information on the network (presentation of the network, network capacity, pressure levels or voltage levels, connection customers and their structure)
- Documents on personnel and technical capacity
- Organizational chart with number of employees and their qualifications, technical equipment (see VDN guideline S 1000 or DVGW worksheet G 1000), submission of contracts with subcontractors
- Documents on economic performance (proof of equity capital, shareholdings in the company, most recent profit and loss account, annual report)
- If a network is established or acquired: submission of a profit and loss account (investments and depreciation, capital and financial plan, operating expenses, profit and loss account)
The envisaged fee range is between 150 and 2,000 euros.
The permit must have been issued before network operation commences.
A decision on the granting of the permit will be made within six months of the submission of the complete application documents.
