Notification of animal husbandry

- cattle
- Pigs (also minipigs)
- sheep
- goats
- Equidae (e.g. horses, donkeys, mules, hinnies, zebras, zebrids)
- chickens
- ducks
- geese
- pheasants
- Guinea fowl
- Partridges
- Pigeons
- Turkeys
- Quails
- ratites (e.g. emu, ostrich, nandu)
- Game (e.g. fallow deer, red deer, mouflon, roe deer)
- Camelids (e.g. camel, dromedary, alpaca, llama, vicuña, guanaco)
- Other cloven-hoofed animals
- Fish (aquaculture farms and fishing ponds with e.g. trout, carp, pike, tench, goldfish, eels, lampreys, decapods, molluscs (this list is not exhaustive))
- Bees and bumblebees
After successful notification, your animal husbandry (business) will receive a twelve-digit registration number.
For the animal species cattle, pig, sheep, goat and horse, which are managed in the "Animal Origin and Information System" (HI-Tier for short), the farm automatically receives an access PIN for the system after registration.

Furthermore, all owners of cattle, pigs, sheep, goats and horses as well as bee colonies are obliged to register their livestock with the Rhineland-Palatinate Animal Disease Fund. It is irrelevant for what purpose (commercial animal husbandry, agricultural livestock husbandry or hobby husbandry) or in what numbers the animals are kept. Only the fact that at least one animal of one of the above-mentioned animal species is kept in Rhineland-Palatinate is decisive.
