If you live in Germany and wish to purchase a firearm in accordance with Annex 1 Section 3 No. 2 (Category B) of the Weapons Act or ammunition in a member state with a permit from that state, you require a permit.

You will receive a permit to purchase weapons and ammunition in another member state if you provide the following information in full when you submit your application:

about yourself:
- First name and surname
- Date and place of birth
- Addresses
- Number, date of issue and issuing authority of the passport or identity card
about the weapon:
- for firearms:
  - Number and type
  - caliber
  - Category according to Annex 1 Section 3 of the Weapons Act
  - CIP proof mark, if applicable
- for other weapons :
  - Number and type

about the ammunition:
- Number and type
- caliber
- CIP test mark, if applicable
