First, the European Union must launch a corresponding aid measure during a crisis in the sugar sector and publish a corresponding notice. You can then apply online, by e-mail or by post to the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE) to conclude a storage contract for the private storage of sugar.
Apply for private storage online:
- Call up the online application. The online application will be activated as soon as the announcement is published.
- The online application will guide you step by step through the necessary information.
- Upload any required documents and submit the application online. Alternatively, you can print out the completed online application and send it to the BLE by post together with the required documents.
- The BLE will check your application and contact you if anything is unclear or if any information is missing.

- a rejection.

- Download the application form from the BLE website. Note: Forms are only available on the BLE website if there is an announcement.
- Complete the application form.
- Send the completed and signed application form with any required documents to the BLE by e-mail or post.

Once the contractual storage period has expired, you can submit an application for the grant.
