Road closures

A traffic authority permit must be issued for the establishment of construction sites that affect road traffic (e.g. sewer/water laying etc.). The necessary traffic signs may only be erected after an approved signage plan has been submitted. The following information is required for this: Where is the construction site located?

• in the urban area - municipality, district, street name or
• out of town.

The road class, stating the exact designation (e.g. B 51, L 1 or K 100) and the exact location (e.g. between the local communities A and B) with possible stationing is required. Competent authority: The road traffic authority of the district administration of the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm is responsible for extra-local construction measures in the area of classified roads (federal, state and district roads). In the case of local construction work, the local public order offices of the Bitburg municipal administration or the respective association municipal administrations of the district are responsible.
