Dog feces are a big problem in many cities and towns. The pollution of sidewalks, playgrounds and green areas by dog feces is a nuisance for many citizens, pollutes the environment and forms a dangerous breeding ground for bacteria. In many cities and municipalities in Rhineland-Palatinate, containers are therefore set up from which dog owners can remove bags free of charge to remove the feces of their dogs.
