Source: BUS Rheinland-PfalzAny person handling or transporting substances hazardous to water shall notify the competent body of the leakage of these substances in a not insignificant quantity if these substances enter or may enter the soil, the sewerage system or the aquatic environment. Water-polluting properties have e.B mineral oils, acids, alkalis, solvents, pesticides, slurry, manure and silage leachates. Whether a quantity is significant or not depends on the properties of the substance and the environment (e.B. water protection area). If you are unsure, the responsible body will advise you.
