Forest fire protection

Would you like to light and entertain a fire in the forest or use open light?

Due to the general right of citizens to enter the forest, there is an increased risk of forest fires. Therefore, according to the provisions of the State Forest Act, you may only light and maintain a fire or use open light in the forest and at a distance of less than 100 meters from the forest with the permission of the forestry office.
 

However, this general prohibition does not apply to persons who own the forest, who have a right of use to it or who are employed in the forest, as well as to persons entitled to hunt while hunting. For this group of people, the law generally assumes a responsible handling of open fire. Furthermore, the prohibition does not apply if the fire is lit and maintained in a fireplace built or approved by the forestry office or an officially approved facility. Barbecuing on plots of land by the forest with approved residential development is also permitted.
 

In addition, smoking is generally not allowed in the forest.
