Apply for project funding from the equalization fund for supra-regional projects for the participation of severely disabled people in working life

If you want to submit the application for project funding from the Equalization Fund (AGF) online:

• Open the funding portal on the website of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS).
• Log in with your user data or register. You will need an electronic proof of identity (eID) for this.
• You will be guided through the application process step by step.
• Send the application together with all other required documents electronically signed.
• You will be informed via the portal within three months of receipt of all the required documents whether your project will receive funding from the Compensation Fund.

If you wish to submit the application by post or e-mail:

• Send an e-mail to the Federal Funding Office and ask for the application form to be sent to you.
• Complete the application form, sign it and send it together with all other necessary documents by post to the Federal Funding Agency.
• If you use a qualified electronic signature, you can also sign the application form electronically and send it to the office by e-mail.
• All further steps correspond to the online procedure.

Your organization or institution can apply for grants from the Equalization Fund (AGF) if it is involved in promoting the participation of severely disabled people in working life and meets one of the following requirements with a project:

• It is a pilot project for the further development of the promotion of the participation of people with severe disabilities in working life, in particular through
  • company integration management or
  • the promotion of training for young people with severe disabilities or
• it is a pilot project for the development of technical work aids to promote the participation of people with severe disabilities in working life or
• it is an educational, training or research measure in the field of the participation of people with severe disabilities in working life

All funded pilot projects must

• have supra-regional significance,
• lead to results that are transferable nationwide,
• work towards the realization of inclusion and
• be individual projects that can be defined in terms of time and content.

You can only submit the application if you are authorized to sign for your organization, i.e. if you are authorized to sign the application on behalf of your organization.

There are no costs.

Applications can generally be submitted by January 15 and July 15 of each year. If other deadlines apply, they will be published separately.

Usually 3 months after receipt of the complete application.

In exceptional cases, you can apply to the specialist office for federal funding, Deutsche Rentenversicherung Knappschaft-Bahn-See (DRV KBS), to submit the signature by post.

In such exceptional cases, you must download the electronically recorded forms submitted via the funding portal. You or an authorized representative must sign these by hand and also submit them by post. You must observe the deadlines.
